Favourite Highlighting Products

Highlighters are probably my second favourite thing right after lipsticks. I'm hooked on having a nice shimmer and glow to my face. It's probably one thing I really don't like leaving the house without having on, especially in summer. Summer is just that time of the year for you to be tan and have a little shimmer to your skin. Anyway, I thought I would share with you guys my favourite highlighters to use.

My top favourite would surprisingly be the Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Kit. It's really affordable, at £10 on the website, so it's perfect if you're looking for something a little more budget friendly. It has 4 different colours, three cream based and one powder. On its packaging it actually gives you instructions on where to place all four colours so that's also a bonus if you're a little confused with highlighting. It comes with a brush, that I wouldn't recommend you use as it comes apart. I use my No7 Contour and Highlighter Brush, which you can get here.

Next I have the M-A-C Pigment Powder in Vanilla. It's actually meant to be an eyeshadow but I use this as a highlighter because it's very easy to blend, colour doesn't show and just leaves a really beautiful shimmer on your skin. You can see on Pinterest how this girl uses it as a highlighter. Getting it in Naked might be better if you have darker skin.

I use the Max Factor Colour Precision Eyeshadow in Pearl Beige also as a highlighter. I only use this on my brow bone and sometimes nose bridge but haven't tried it anywhere else since I use the Sleek palette for everything else. You can actually see it being used here on the Max Factor website in a tutorial on how to achieve radiant skin.

I also sometimes use the Benefit Watt's Up! Highlighter on my cheekbones. This was the first highlighter I bought and used, but I no longer use it as much as I first did since I have all these other ones. It has a really nice champagne glow, and can be used all year around really. I don't like the applicator on the other end so much so I use my fingers or a brush instead. The only issue with it is it's probably not the best if you have fair skin as the tone is a little dark. Instead, I'd recommend the other highlighters since they come out light and has less 'colour' to them.

Lastly, I use the Snow BB Soothing Cushion SPF 50. It's labelled "MAC" but it is not, it's a fake. It was given as a gift by my clueless aunt, bless her. She thought it was authentic but mac do not sell this product. Funnily enough I actually really love it for nights out. If you're looking for an authentic version however then there's the Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion. It's really dewy and leaves a nice shine so I actually quite like mine, even if it's not from MAC.
